Manual Mobile QA Tester

Job description

Fourthline is a leading FinTech scale-up that has been growing massively in the Identity & Verification (ID&V) field for the past 3 years. Our mission is to fight financial crime and to protect the online financial system by offering the most innovative technologies to develop the safest and most customer-friendly digital ID&V solution.
And to be the best, you need to test the best! Ok, that might not be the truth 100%, but what we want to make sure is that our client experience from a mobile perspective is flawless and that is why we are looking for a Manual Mobile QA Tester!

Time to make a real impact on society with your product feedback!

Fourthline operates within the fast-moving industry of KYC (Know Your Customer). In this field, we are the frontrunners of innovation as also shown by the many new clients that we are onboarding. Next to that, we are working on more innovative products that can help the world of online fraud prevention.

Your mission as Manual QA Tester is to make sure all devices are 100% battle-tested, have zero bugs and the mobile team can improve the product, step by step!

How can you help us?

You can help us by providing useful product feedback when you test the mobile devices (mostly Android focused) with the products that we have built. This could be our Mobile App or our WebApp.

Your tasks are then:

  • Manually testing all the most commonly used mobile devices (Android, some iOS)
  • Finding and reporting bugs and any arising issues with the Mobile app and WebSDK
  • Acquiring user feedback from our inhouse analysts (your test group)
  • Building data reports on provided feedback from users and devices
  • Using testing tools to get you around faster. Think Postman, XCode (iOS), or Android Studio.
  • Always being in contact with our Amsterdam-based mobile development team and help them where needed. They will provide you with all the necessary data and requirements, but since you are proactive, you also give your opinion on what should happen next!
  • You will be working in our Barcelona office. Here we have 100+ people working daily and they all have a mobile phone we could use for testing! You will make sure you get all the people involved and willing to help you!

Job requirements

  • You speak Spanish and English (professional proficiency or higher)
  • Available and willing to work most of the time in the office
  • You have a Technical or computer science-related studies degree (we are also open to people that did a development Bootcamp!)
  • You are passionate about mobile development
  • You have great communication skills – to get all the Android devices from our colleagues in our Operations team and get your hands on all the mobile devices we need to test!

We offer

Liked what you have read and are now wondering what you can expect from us? We have a great office overlooking Montjuic and the rest of the city that we’ve recently redesigned to make it a great place to work from (when we are allowed again).

And like you, we value:

  • A “flexible” package of secondary benefits where you can choose the components that you like the most (Think: meal tickets, health insurance, transportation costs, etc.)
  • A personal education budget to continuously develop yourself
  • A high degree of collaboration within the team and autonomy to work on your own projects
  • Crucial role in a highly motivated and talented team
  • Flexible working hours
  • A real team! We play pádel together, have lunches outside of the office and hang out together on Fridays and go mountain biking together in the weekend!

And our special offer to our new Mobile QA Engineer:

We love the fact that we can train new people to enter the FinTech industry that can become the gatekeepers for the financial market. And in return for your energy and time, we offer a great way to get to know an ever-growing industry that might prove to be your future!

We will teach you all there is to know around QA engineering (manual first, but automation later?) or help you go into a Junior Frontend- or Backend engineering role in the future. We might be able to fast-track your career! That is our offer to you, as a bonus!

<<Note: For this role, we currently do not relocate people, so you need to be in Barcelona already and be in the possession of an independent EU work permit.>>
