Head of Implementations

Job description

We have grown >100% in the last quarter alone and work with companies like N26, KPN, DEGIRO, Vivid, Trade Republic, Nationale Nederlanden, Wish, Solarisbank, Bol.com, and many more! With 200 Fourthliners today, we are on a mission to fight financial crime! Since the launch of our KYC solutions three years ago, we have run millions and millions of verifications. In the past twelve months, we have signed contracts with Europe’s most respected (neo)banks, online brokers and fintechs.

For 2021, we are on track to grow even faster than last year. We know we can pull it off with an amazing sales, tech and ops team. However, for the next phase of growth it will be crucial to streamline the implementation of new clients to allow them to go live even quicker and better than today. And that’s why we are looking for you as our first Head of Implementations!

Do you enjoy technical and analytical challenges in a fast paced – ever changing – scale-up? Advising our clients and educating our team on the very best implementation? Can you manage Senior Stakeholders and build your own team of Implementation Managers? Do you want to define your own role and join one of the fastest growing fintech scale-ups in Europe? If yes, please read on!!

Head of Implementations: a quick primer

  • Being the first person in this role you get all the autonomy and trust to build your own function within Fourthline. At the start, you will be hands on involved in all daily tasks with a small team (one direct report today) which will allow you to learn about the organization, product and clients. Afterwards, we expect you to define how the position of the team should evolve within Fourthline. You will report to the management team and closely work with our CTO, COO and CCO.
  • We would love you to answers questions like: based on your previous experience, what are we doing right/wrong? Where should we improve? How can be further standardize implementations. Who else should you hire and how do you want to build out the team? In the end, your implementation work should make Swiss clockwork jealous.

We hope you are a specialist when it comes to:

  • Enterprise Delivery and Project Management
You and the team are the first point of contact for our clients and guide the (technical) implementation from start to finish. For this to be successful you improve our internal and external processes to perfection. You drive progress, efficiency and you bring a constant successful implementation of projects in an ever fast changing environment.
  • Technical know-how
In this position you will work extensively with (complex) technical implementations. Although we don’t expect you to be an engineer, we do require first-hand experience and the drive to learn all there is about API’s (and documentation), SDK’s (web and mobile), flow diagrams, dashboarding and much more. Think: almost as a Product Manager. Being a B2B enterprise software solution, this is key to the success of our implementations team. What are the technical requirements and foundations of our product? How do proposed changes impact the roadmap? How can clients improve UX and increase conversion? These are questions you’ll encounter and should enjoy!
  • Team management
We see multiple directions of growth and need your vision to define the right direction! We’ll add more disciplines and specialists. It will depend on you to decide what the role and team grows into.

Job requirements

You have/are

  • At least 8-12 years of working experience in Project management, Enterprise implementations and/or a technical and specialist Customer Success role. This can range from prior experience at a Professional Services Firm (implementation/consulting) to implementation at roles at software companies or startups (technical/enterprise/B2B/SaaS
  • True relationship building and leadership skills with lots of positive energy – you are a great ambassador for the Fourthline brand towards our clients. You motivate, guide and coach our teams and get energy from engagement with others
  • Technical know-how (and interest) to know our difficult fintech product by heart. This will be difficult, but that is exactly what makes your job intellectually challenging! Think IT and it’s relationship to compliance, risk, issues, corporate structures, operations, sales and in-depth technical assessments
  • Project management experience so you know how to structure and deliver right on time. You prioritize urgent from important and ensure all wheels in the radar run as expected
  • Seniority and maturity to be a serious business partner who deals with senior stakeholders from various backgrounds that might have different interests. People trust your opinion and you back these up with facts and data
  • A driven and analytical professional. You keep your eyes on the prize and have a drive to be successful in a complex tech driven environment. You partner with internal stakeholders and know how to prioritize tasks that impact our business most positively and make us better. In short you always look for faster, better, smarter and hopefully also more fun!
  • Some of the following skills (or an eagerness to learn): excellent Excel skills, tableau and dashboarding capabilities, coding skills (or enjoy diving into API documentation and learning quickly)! We welcome talent that wants to develop new skills.

  • Five office dogs (current count).
